Farrington, Edward Holyoke 1860 - 1934 - professor of dairy husbandry. He graduated from the Univ. of Maine (B.S., 1881; M.S., 1885), and Yale Univ. (M.S., 1882). He served as a chemist at the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station (1883-1889) and held a similar position in Illinois (1890-1894). In 1894 he came to the Univ. of Wisconsin as professor of dairy husbandry and served in this capacity until his retirement to emeritus status in 1927. He wrote extensively on the science and chemistry of dairying and contributed to the knowledge of testing milk, butter, and other dairy products.
